We’ve all heard a lot about the importance of ergonomics. Keyboards are now curved with two groups of keys. A computer mouse could take the form of a tracking ball. We’re encouraged to take breaks often and not spend the entire day sitting at our desks. Though many office chairs have an option to recline, upright posture is important for the health of your back. Raise your chair so your feet rest flat on the floor, but consider putting a foot stool under your desk so blood doesn’t setting in your lower extremities. If you have arm rests, make sure they’re adjusted to support your arms in a resting position while your shoulders are lowered. Arm rests that are too high can cause headaches and if they’re too low, what’s the point of having them there at all?
