Fun Bulletin Board Ideas for Valentine’s Day

Believe it or not, Valentine’s Day will be here soon. This fun holiday is full of hearts, pink, red, and a variety of fun ideas for classroom decorations. If you seem to be drawing a blank when it comes to Valentine’s Day decorations for your classroom, maybe one of these awesome bulletin board ideas will help spark your creativity.

Hooked On You

This bulletin board theme is absolutely adorable, and perfect for those teachers with a class full of crafty students.

Begin by giving each child in the class a paper plate and cut-out hearts to create their fish. Let the students decorate their fish using paint, markers, glitter, stickers, or anything else you deem appropriate. Hang the fish on the board along with a few aluminum foil “fishing hooks” attached to some yarn “fishing line”. Add the words “I’m Hooked on You!” for a super cute board your class is sure to love.

Box of Chocolates

This is another cute project for your board that you will definitely want to show off when you’re finished putting it together.

For this one, you will need a photo of each child in the classroom. Cut each photo into a circle and glue it to the bottom of a cupcake paper. After all of the pictures have been cut and glued, use a large sheet of red or pink paper or cardstock to cut out a heart shape. Glue the photo-filled cupcake papers to the heart in order to make your “box of chocolates”. Pin this to the board along with a cute phrase such as “Teacher’s Sweeties”.

Lovebugs

Our final fun bulletin board idea involves lovebugs. After all, who doesn’t like a glimpse of some sweet little lovebugs from time to time?

To create this theme on your board, have each student in your class make a ladybug like the ones shown below. You will need to make heart-shaped cut-outs with Pink, Red and Black construction paper to creat the bugs. Have each student add in the love by decorating their bug with paint, markers, glitter or anything else you deem appropriate. Hang the lovebugs on your board in whatever way you see fit, and add the words, “Teacher’s Little Lovebugs”. This is a bulletin board idea that is sure to be a hit!
